This is an independent site. It is not run by MTC, BART, Caltrain, the High-Speed Rail Authority or any other agency.

From 2005 to 2007, bayarearailplan.info was the official website of the Bay Area Regional Rail Plan. After the plan was adopted, the site closed, and the address was parked by other owners for years. We registered it in October 2026 to answer the question its old visitors would ask today: what happened to the plan?

How we check

Every status on the scorecard links to its source: agency pages, board minutes and news reports. Statuses were last checked on 2026-10-15. We don't publish a status we can't source.

Who runs it

Bay Area Rail Plan is made by Franck J, who also runs The Bay App, a live board for every ferry on the Bay. Corrections are welcome at hello@bayarearailplan.info.
